Who we are

Time To Learn ("TTL", "we", "us") is an iOS application. If you have questions about this policy, click here to email us.

What we collect

TTL is designed to work without collecting personal information. Here is everything we do collect:

• Device identifier (IDFV) — Apple's Identifier for Vendor. A device-level identifier that cannot be linked to your Apple ID or personal identity. Resets if you uninstall. Used solely for anonymous analytics.
• Anonymous usage events — events such as "lesson generated", "app opened", and "lesson completed" sent to Mixpanel. These contain no personal identifiers, no lesson content, and no location data.
• Subscription status — whether you are on the free, monthly, or annual plan. Managed entirely by Apple via StoreKit 2. We do not receive or store your payment details.
• Saved lessons (annual subscribers only) — lessons you choose to save are stored in your private iCloud container. This data is controlled by you and cannot be accessed by us.

What we do not collect

• Your name, email address, or Apple ID
• Your location or GPS data
• Microphone, camera, or contacts access
• The subjects or content of your lessons
• Browsing history or cross-app tracking

How your lessons are generated

When you generate a lesson, your chosen subject and settings are sent to our secure proxy, which uses AI services to generate the script and audio narration. These requests contain only your lesson topic and configuration — no personal information is included.

An anonymised copy of each generated lesson (subject, depth, duration — no audio, no identifying information) is stored in a public database to power our lesson cache and featured lessons. This anonymised record cannot be linked back to you.

Advertising

Free plan users see banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device advertising identifiers to show relevant ads. You can limit ad tracking in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Paid subscribers see no ads.

Analytics

We use Mixpanel routed through the EU endpoint to understand how the app is used in aggregate. All analytics are anonymised. We do not use analytics to identify individual users or build personal profiles.

Data retention

Anonymous analytics events are retained for up to 12 months. Saved lessons in your private iCloud container are retained until you delete them or uninstall the app. The anonymised lesson cache is retained to power the featured lessons feature and contains no information that could identify you.

Your rights

Under applicable data protection law you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold. Because TTL does not collect personally identifiable information, there is typically nothing to action. You can:

• Opt out of analytics by uninstalling the app
• Delete saved lessons from within the app or via iCloud settings
• Manage ad tracking in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
• Contact us with any data requests

Children

TTL is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. However, when we deem a lesson as adult content, it will be tagged as so.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do we will update the date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
